HI I Am Homaira!

An Architect, Photographer & Visual Artist

I create visual narratives that unravel the delicate threads of identity, memory, and transformation. Rooted in the language of architecture and the intimacy of photography, my practice moves between self-portraiture, sculptural collage, and symbolism, spaces where the personal and the collective quietly converge.

My MFA thesis, Glitching the Past : Photography and Forgetting, is a meditation on how memory lives within images, how archives preserve, distort, and sometimes erase what once was. It is an act of both remembering and releasing, of tracing the soft fractures where histories blur and selves are remade.

As I prepare to graduate this December, my work continues to hold space for stories that are often unseen or unspoken. It becomes a vessel for shared voices and hidden histories, a testament to the quiet, persistent power of lived experience.
